Hi {contactfield=firstname},
From My Desk...
Each week, I’ll be sharing a little about what’s happening in my world—whether it’s in my role as a cardiologist, the work I’m doing with the Healthy Heart Network and our new Healthy Life Network, or even personal updates from my family and life. My goal is to give you a closer look at what’s been keeping me busy, while also sharing tips and insights to help you on your own heart health journey. I hope you enjoy these updates and find them helpful as you strive to live well and stay healthy.
Hello and welcome to the Healthy Life Network.
Some weeks are quieter than others — at least from the outside. Behind the scenes, there's rarely a moment that stands still. This week is one of those.
Family & Personal
Chelle and I are in Melbourne. I've been dealing with some health-related matters that have needed attention — nothing I'm able to resolve quickly, but I'm in the right place and in good hands. I expect to be back on deck in the next couple of weeks.
It's an interesting experience, being on the other side of the consulting room. It sharpens things.
A lovely bright spot — Max is back in Hobart for a few weeks with his partner Katie. Chelle and I are very much looking forward to catching up with them both when we get home.
I'm deeply grateful for the team holding everything together in Hobart in the meantime. More on that below.
Business Updates
OsteoStrong Hobart
Sean has been carrying a significant load across both floors — downstairs at OsteoStrong and upstairs at Longevity Labs — and doing it with real commitment. He's had tremendous support from Bec, Sarah, and Kerstin, who continue to deliver for our members with consistency and care. The team downstairs is a beautiful thing to witness, even from a distance.
Longevity Labs IV
Upstairs continues to grow. Sarah has been doing wonderful work with patients as they come through for their IV sessions — warm, professional, and genuinely caring. And we are very excited to welcome a new nurse — Addy — to the team. Addy will be opening up on Wednesdays, which meaningfully expands what we can offer. A real step forward.
We're also developing a promotion to dovetail with Dark Mofo — more details to come as that takes shape.
Breath Lab
Jen continues to drive breathwork through Longevity Labs and her Pivotal Wellbeing practice. We genuinely believe this is a fantastic offering — nervous system regulation, recovery protocols, stress management. It belongs right alongside everything else we do upstairs.
Ella has been producing some great organic social media content across the businesses. Quietly effective — which suits her perfectly.
Younger Longer — Crowdfunding Launch
This week sees the crowdfunding campaign for Younger Longer go live. It's a project that has been a long time in the making — and one I genuinely believe in. There's some publicity work to accompany the launch, which I'm looking forward to. More to share as the week unfolds.
Catching Up with Perry
Also on the agenda this week — a conversation with Perry, the master franchisor for OsteoStrong Asia Pacific. We'll be discussing next steps for Hobart OsteoStrong and how we can continue to best serve the community here. Always good to step back and think about where things are heading.
Podcast & YouTube
This week — EP436 is live and ready for you.
🎙️ Listen to EP436 here
EP436 — The Amazing C15 Story with Danielle Cole — I'd encourage you to go back and listen. The science around C15 — pentadecanoic acid — is genuinely exciting, and Danielle tells the story beautifully.
🎥 While you're at it, look up the TEDx talk on Dolphins and C15.

It's a remarkable piece of science, told compellingly — and a big part of why I believe so strongly in what Fatty15 represents.

Quiz Corner
Last week's answer:
Thalassemia is an inherited blood disorder in which the body produces abnormal or insufficient haemoglobin. It's diagnosed through blood tests — typically a full blood count showing small red cells and low haemoglobin, confirmed with haemoglobin electrophoresis or genetic testing. It matters because it can mimic iron deficiency anaemia, leading to unnecessary iron supplementation — and in its more severe forms can cause significant health complications. A good one to know about.
This week's question:
Name three things that have been clinically proven to improve longevity.
Share your thoughts — I'll reveal the answers next week.
Final Reflection
Being on the other side of things has a way of clarifying priorities. Health isn't abstract. It's the thing that makes everything else possible. I'm reminded this week — as I am often — why this work matters.
Warm regards,
