Hi {contactfield=firstname},

From My Desk...

Each week, I’ll be sharing a little about what’s happening in my world—whether it’s in my role as a cardiologist, the work I’m doing with the Healthy Heart Network and our new Healthy Life Network, or even personal updates from my family and life. My goal is to give you a closer look at what’s been keeping me busy, while also sharing tips and insights to help you on your own heart health journey. I hope you enjoy these updates and find them helpful as you strive to live well and stay healthy.

Hello and welcome,

It’s been a week of transition.

Max and I flew back together from Samoa on Thursday, landing in Brisbane before going our separate ways — he headed north to Townsville to catch up with his girlfriend Katie, and I turned south for home, arriving later that evening after a long day of travel.

A little tired, but very quickly back into it.

Family & Personal Highlights

Time in Samoa with Max was incredibly special — simple, relaxed, and meaningful.

One of the standout moments was a day spent snorkeling, catching a fish, and later sitting by the sea enjoying it as fresh sashimi along with a burger and a beer.

Hard to beat.

Since being back, I’ve also been in touch with Ella, who continues to do really well, and it’s always great to stay connected.

Sean has been fully engaged in the business, helping keep everything running smoothly — and that’s been very important this week.

Professional & Business Updates

Friday saw me straight back into work by midday, presenting for St Luke’s Health to a group of around 20–30 people who came along to learn more about OsteoStrong.

It was a really engaged audience — lots of questions, great interaction, and strong interest.

Then Saturday was a big day.

We held our Open Day at OsteoStrong Hobart, alongside Longevity Labs IV upstairs and breathwork sessions running as well.

Across the day:

• Multiple presentations were delivered
• People trialled the OsteoStrong equipment
• Longevity Labs IV offered 100ml sample infusions
• Breathwork sessions were run by Jen

There was great energy throughout, with people asking questions, getting involved, and importantly — signing up.

It really felt like a day where momentum is building.

A big thank you to everyone involved:

• Ella — fantastic capturing photos and video for social media
• Sean — terrific organising and coordinating
• Chelle — making sure everything ran smoothly downstairs
• Our wonderful team — supporting people upstairs and downstairs throughout the day

A genuinely fantastic day.

Looking Ahead

Today will be a different pace — we’re catching up with two close couples for lunch, a relaxed combination of brunch and dinner.

A good opportunity to connect and reset, especially with a big week ahead for Chelle and I.

Podcast Highlight

This week’s episode:

👉 EP434: Sugar, Fish, and Fasting
Listen here : https://drwarrickbishop.com/podcast/episode/1/ep434-sugar-fish-and-fasting

A practical look at some of the most talked-about — and often misunderstood — aspects of nutrition.

We cover:

• Sugar and metabolic health
• The role of fish in the diet
• Intermittent fasting — where it fits and where it doesn’t

As always, the aim is to bring clarity and cut through the noise.

Featured Reminders

Here are a few products and tools that Chelle and I personally use and have discussed on the podcast.

These are affiliate links and are commercial in nature. They provide a genuine win–win — you receive access at a discount through your association with the Healthy Life Network, and I receive a discount or financial benefit if you choose to purchase through them.

I only share products I personally use or believe may be of benefit, and you should always make your own informed decision.

NuCalm – Nervous System Support
Chelle and I use this regularly for relaxation, recovery and sleep.

I’ve also now had a couple of patients take advantage of the 7-day free trial and report real benefit — particularly with the ability to help regulate brain activity, reduce stress, and support sleep.

It’s a very interesting tool. Check it out.

You do need a good set of headphones, and the 7-day trial allows you to explore it without any commitment.

Quiz Corner

Last week’s question:
What is glaucoma — and what causes it?

Answer:
Glaucoma is a group of eye conditions that damage the optic nerve, most commonly due to increased pressure within the eye.

Over time, this can lead to gradual loss of peripheral vision and, if untreated, permanent vision loss.

This Week’s Question:
Name three medications that can impact bone health.

Final Reflection

This week has been a great reminder of two things.

First — how valuable time away can be.
And second — how rewarding it is to come back and see things moving forward.

From quiet moments in Samoa…
to a busy, energetic Open Day…
to time with friends and family…

It’s that balance of presence and progress that really matters.

Warmest wishes,

Doctor Warrick Bishop
