Hi {contactfield=firstname},

From My Desk...

Each week, I’ll be sharing a little about what’s happening in my world—whether it’s in my role as a cardiologist, the work I’m doing with the Healthy Heart Network and our new Healthy Life Network, or even personal updates from my family and life. My goal is to give you a closer look at what’s been keeping me busy, while also sharing tips and insights to help you on your own heart health journey. I hope you enjoy these updates and find them helpful as you strive to live well and stay healthy.

Hello and welcome,

I’m still in Samoa — although things have shifted a little this week.

Chelle, Ella and Tallam have now returned to Australia, and I’ve stayed on with Max. That’s given us the opportunity for some genuine one-on-one time — something that doesn’t come along all that often, and something I’ve really valued.

We’ve spent time exploring, fishing, eating, talking, slowing things down, and just enjoying being present.

Sometimes it’s those quieter moments that stay with you the most.

Family & Personal Highlights

This past week has really been about time with Max — and I’ve appreciated every minute of it.

Before Chelle, Ella and Tallam headed home, we were lucky to share some really special time together — those moments matter more than we often realise.

Sean, meanwhile, has been holding the fort back home — keeping things steady across the businesses, which has been incredibly important and very much appreciated.

A couple of other highlights:

• My nephew Baxter is competing in national athletics this weekend — a fantastic achievement
• My dad is heading to Brisbane with his partner to support him — which will be a great occasion

It’s one of those weeks that reminds you how important it is to stay connected across generations.

Professional & Business Updates

Back home, things continue to build.

OsteoStrong Hobart continues to provide a beautiful service for people — improving strength, balance and independence in a way that genuinely changes lives.

We’ve got an exciting period ahead:

• An upcoming presentation with St Luke’s Health
• Our next Open Day — which will be a little different

This time, we’ll also be opening up Longevity Labs upstairs, giving people the opportunity to:

• Experience the OsteoStrong environment
• See what we’re building with IV therapies
• Learn more about breathwork and recovery strategies

It’s really the first time we’re properly showcasing the full ecosystem together.

And a very exciting milestone…

The first copy of Cholesterol Explained has now been sold on Amazon — which is incredibly rewarding after such a long journey.

We’ve also returned the final proof to China, and the print run is now underway.

It’s great to see this finally coming to life.

Podcast & YouTube Highlights

This week’s podcast explores sleep, hormones and bone health — an area that often gets overlooked.

It’s a reminder that recovery and hormonal balance play a critical role in long-term skeletal health.

I’ve also included a previous YouTube piece looking at weight, movement, and the underestimated role of small daily activity — including things like fidgeting.

Often, it’s the small things done consistently that make the biggest difference.

Quiz Corner

Last week’s question:
When travelling to places like Samoa, what are some local health risks to be aware of?

Answer:
Mosquito-borne illnesses are the key consideration, including:

• Dengue fever
• Zika virus
• Chikungunya

Along with general risks such as food hygiene, hydration, and sun exposure.

This Week’s Question

What is glaucoma — and what causes it?

Final Reflection

This past week has been a good reminder:

Time is the one thing you don’t get back.

Whether it’s building a business, pursuing health, or simply being present with family — it ultimately comes down to how you choose to use it.

Right now, there’s a sense that things are building — in a meaningful and connected way.

And that’s a great place to be.

Warmest wishes,

Doctor Warrick Bishop
