Hi {contactfield=firstname},

From My Desk...

Each week, I’ll be sharing a little about what’s happening in my world—whether it’s in my role as a cardiologist, the work I’m doing with the Healthy Heart Network and our new Healthy Life Network, or even personal updates from my family and life. My goal is to give you a closer look at what’s been keeping me busy, while also sharing tips and insights to help you on your own heart health journey. I hope you enjoy these updates and find them helpful as you strive to live well and stay healthy.

Hi everyone,

I hope this finds you well....

While I think of it, if you are reading this, then perhaps share it with someone else who may find it valuable - it is free and I'd love to see the community keep growing :

This week’s update comes to you from Samoa — and I have to say, it’s been a pretty special few days. There’s something about stepping away, being out on the water, snorkelling, exploring beaches, and just soaking up a different pace of life that gives you a bit of perspective.

We’ve been lucky enough to spend time here with Max, and also have Ella and Tallum with us — which has made it even more meaningful. We’ve stayed at the Tiapapata Art Centre and visited some beautiful places like the To Sua Ocean Trench and Vavau Beach, among others.

Family & Personal Highlights

A big milestone this week — Sean has turned 30......... Happy Birthday!!!!

It’s been great to see him stepping up more and taking on increased responsibility within Longevity Labs, particularly while we’ve been away. He’s very generously put his hand up to stay back and help keep things running, which hasn’t gone unnoticed.

Ella is also starting to take on a more active role, particularly around organic social media and helping us build awareness locally. It’s great to see both of them leaning in and contributing.

Chelle, as always, continues to keep everything moving — often behind the scenes — and I’m very grateful for that.

And as for Max — he seems to have settled into Samoa life very comfortably. It’s been wonderful to spend time together in his new environment, although he’ll be heading back to Australia with me at the end of the trip.

Professional & Business Updates

There’s a real sense at the moment that we’re entering an important phase across the businesses.

At OsteoStrong Hobart, we continue to focus on building momentum, with our upcoming open day shaping as a key opportunity to connect with new people and share what we do.

Upstairs, Longevity Labs is starting to take more shape, with Sean stepping further into that space and the IV offering (LLIV) being an area we’re keen to build more traction in.

We’re also very excited to have Jen joining us in the breathwork space, with BreathLab Hobart continuing to evolve. I think this will be a fantastic addition and really complements what we’re already doing.

The underlying theme at the moment is simple:

It’s up to us to keep growing and delivering a wonderful service.

And that’s actually a good place to be.

Podcast Highlight

This week’s episode:

A fascinating discussion looking beyond the gut — and into the importance of the oral microbiome and its broader health implications.

We’ve also got more great content coming, including an upcoming discussion around Fatty15 (C15 fatty acid) — a really interesting and evolving space.

And a quick blast from the past — an oldie but a goodie on inflammation:

Definitely worth a revisit.

Quiz Corner

Last week’s question:
What is one of the key benefits of PEMF therapy?

Answer:
PEMF (pulsed electromagnetic field therapy) has been shown to support cellular function, reduce inflammation, and may assist with pain and recovery.

This week’s question:

When travelling to places like Samoa, what are some local health risks that travellers should be aware of?

(Hint: think mosquito-borne illnesses such as dengue or Zika…)

Final Reflection

Being away has reinforced something I come back to often:

We don’t need to do everything.
But we do need to do the right things — consistently.

There’s a lot happening at the moment — family, business, travel — and while it can feel like a juggle at times, it’s also a reminder of why we do what we do.

Thanks, as always, for being part of the journey.

Warmest wishes,

Doctor Warrick Bishop
