Hi {contactfield=firstname},
From My Desk...
Each week, I’ll be sharing a little about what’s happening in my world—whether it’s in my role as a cardiologist, the work I’m doing with the Healthy Heart Network and our new Healthy Life Network, or even personal updates from my family and life. My goal is to give you a closer look at what’s been keeping me busy, while also sharing tips and insights to help you on your own heart health journey. I hope you enjoy these updates and find them helpful as you strive to live well and stay healthy.
Hello & welcome,
Some weeks feel productive in a very grounded sort of way.
Not dramatic. Not frantic. Just steady movement, good conversations, growing momentum, and the sense that important pieces are beginning to come together.
This past week felt like that.
Family & Personal Highlights
It’s been a week of good connection.
I had the chance to catch up with Dad for dinner during the week, which was lovely, and also caught up with Steve for his birthday, together with Sam and my friend Dave. Those moments of friendship and simple conversation always matter more than we sometimes realise.
I’ve also been in regular contact with Max, Ella and Sean, which has been really nice. Those family connections always help reset perspective.
Chelle has been incredibly busy at the units and with the Airbnb. The business is going well, although our cleaner happens to be away at the moment, so there’s a bit more to juggle than usual. As always, Chelle continues to keep a lot of moving parts together.
Another very satisfying part of the week has been continuing to move the book forward. We’re advancing Cholesterol Explained, and I’ve also been putting together YouTube education sessions around cholesterol so that there is good practical material ready to support the book when it goes out.
OsteoStrong Hobart
Downstairs at OsteoStrong, the momentum continues.
The team are doing a fantastic job, and I’ve been really pleased with the steady progress we’re making. We’re continuing to broaden the conversation beyond bone density alone.
Yes, bone matters — but so do:
• Strength
• Balance
• Confidence
• Frailty prevention
• Independence
That wider message continues to resonate, and I think it’s one of the reasons people are connecting so well with what we do.
We’re also beginning to prepare for more local talks, which is exciting. The opportunity to keep sharing the message more broadly into the community feels important.
If you’d like to explore whether OsteoStrong may be right for you or someone you care about, simply reply to this email and we’ll happily guide you.
Longevity Labs & What’s Building
Upstairs at Longevity Labs, things are also moving forward well.
We’ve been continuing to work on the LLIV business, which is exciting in itself, and it now looks like Sarah may have identified another nurse to join us — Aadi — which would be a terrific step forward and help us expand our offering.
We’ve also been working with Jen from Pivotal Wellbeing, and I’m genuinely excited about the prospect of bringing some of her offerings into the Longevity Labs space. It feels like a natural and very positive fit with what we are building.
There’s a sense that the pieces are starting to line up.
Presentation This Week
This week I’m giving a presentation on:
Maximising Your Elective Surgical Bone Replacement Journey - at the St Luke's Health building corner of Liverpool and Elizabeth
That’s a topic I’m very much looking forward to speaking on, and it fits beautifully with the broader themes of preparation, recovery, resilience and helping people do as well as possible through important health events.
Cholesterol Education & YouTube
A lot of my attention this week has also gone into preparing YouTube educational sessions around cholesterol, particularly timed to support the release of Cholesterol Explained.
The aim is simple — to keep translating complex information into practical, understandable guidance that people can actually use.

Talking IV Clinics With Rosy McEvedy
This week’s podcast is with Rosy McEvedy, and the conversation explores the evolving world of IV clinics and where they may fit within broader health care and recovery discussions.
Link to follow shortly once the episode goes live.
🎥 YouTube Highlight
This week I thought I’d also reshare a YouTube episode from the past:
EP90: Can I Stop My Statins If I Have a Zero Calcium Score?
You can watch it here:

This remains a really important question and one that continues to come up regularly.
NuCalm – Nervous System Support
I’m still using NuCalm a lot at the moment and continuing to find it very helpful.
