Hi {contactfield=firstname},
From My Desk...
Each week, I’ll be sharing a little about what’s happening in my world—whether it’s in my role as a cardiologist, the work I’m doing with the Healthy Heart Network and our new Healthy Life Network, or even personal updates from my family and life. My goal is to give you a closer look at what’s been keeping me busy, while also sharing tips and insights to help you on your own heart health journey. I hope you enjoy these updates and find them helpful as you strive to live well and stay healthy.
Hello & welcome,
I’m writing with real excitement—the final printed draft of Cholesterol Explained is on my desk. After a long journey of thinking, refining, editing and re-editing, it’s incredibly satisfying to see it come together. Next step: sending it to John to kick off publication..... let me know if you are interested in a pre-order.
Family & Personal Highlights
-
Chelle saw her physio Monday and is out of the full leg brace—a big milestone and a relief.
-
We enjoyed our first date night of the year mid-week—simple and special, and Chelle walked all the way there, without her brace on!
-
A lovely catch-up with our friend Merv, plus a relaxed Friday with close friends and a 60th Saturday night.
-
I completed my first 48-hour fast early in the week and felt surprisingly good throughout.... I'm going to try again today.
-
Structured training time has been tricky; brisk walking has been my anchor for movement and headspace.
Hobart & Business Updates
-
OsteoStrong Hobart (OSH): Two new team members have settled in beautifully; momentum is good.
-
Longevity Lab IV (LLIV): Growing steadily—great feedback on patient experience. Sarah is fantastic.
-
Parkinson’s focus at OSH: A visitor from Parkinson’s Disease Tasmania toured the centre and was impressed by how our approach supports strength and balance in Parkinson’s. Members with Parkinson’s continue to report meaningful benefits. We also use PEMF as part of broader support.
-
Cholesterol Explained: I’m on the very final touches, as above. Penny had a short, well-earned Christmas/New Year break; we now move to the final pass and into production.
