Hi {contactfield=firstname},
From My Desk...
Each week, I’ll be sharing a little about what’s happening in my world—whether it’s in my role as a cardiologist, the work I’m doing with the Healthy Heart Network and our new Healthy Life Network, or even personal updates from my family and life. My goal is to give you a closer look at what’s been keeping me busy, while also sharing tips and insights to help you on your own heart health journey. I hope you enjoy these updates and find them helpful as you strive to live well and stay healthy.
Hello & welcome,
Back on home soil! After Panama, we routed Miami (overnight) → Dallas Fort Worth → a long hop to Melbourne → then Hobart, landing on New Year’s Eve. We even made it out with friends that night, enjoyed a lovely catch-up on Jan 1, and ducked into the Taste — always a Hobart highlight. Feeling grateful and ready for a big year ahead.
Family & personal highlights
• Travel home: a multi-leg epic, but worth it to be back...... used a great "rest and sleep" app on way back, really worked for me
• Friends & community: New Year’s Eve with friends; a relaxed New Year’s Day catch-up.
• Ella & Tallam: great to see them in Hobart at the Taste.
• Max: safely back in Samoa after a quick visa trip to Tassie mid December, settling into the new year.
• Sean: checked in over Christmas; all well.
Hobart & business updates
• OsteoStrong Hobart (OSH): two new team members are in place and fantastic — great energy to start 2026.
• Longevity Lab IV (LLIV): steady growth; Sarah’s doing a terrific job with protocols and client experience.
• Longevity Labs (upstairs): full steam ahead.
• Cholesterol Explained: into the very final touches. Penny had a short, well-earned Christmas/New Year breather — we’re lining up the last pass now.
Learning / conference pearls
• Travel recovery basics: hydration, movement breaks, and morning light are simple wins for circadian reset and post-flight energy....plus the "rest/sleep/recharge" app.
• Systems over sprints: as we kick off 2026, consistent fundamentals still beat complicated plans — bone, muscle, metabolic health, and cardiac risk all respond to steady, repeatable habits.
