Hi {contactfield=firstname},
From My Desk...
Each week, I’ll be sharing a little about what’s happening in my world—whether it’s in my role as a cardiologist, the work I’m doing with the Healthy Heart Network and our new Healthy Life Network, or even personal updates from my family and life. My goal is to give you a closer look at what’s been keeping me busy, while also sharing tips and insights to help you on your own heart health journey. I hope you enjoy these updates and find them helpful as you strive to live well and stay healthy.
Each week I like to share a glimpse into what’s happening across the clinic, the podcast, the wellness world—and my own family life. This edition brings a heartfelt story that could genuinely save a life, new ventures gaining momentum, and a few exciting personal milestones.
Let’s dive in...
🎙️ Podcast Spotlight – Lucky Man Story
This week’s episode is not one to miss.
Chris Henry, a seemingly healthy man, reached out after following my advice to get a heart scan. What happened next changed ( SAVED ) his life—and could change yours too. I don’t want to spoil the story, but please… listen and share it with someone you love. It might just save their life.

🎉 Coming Soon: Podcast #400!
I’ve just recorded our 400th podcast—a milestone I never imagined back when I started sharing thoughts on cholesterol and heart health.
It’s been quite the journey: from deep dives on A1 vs A2 milk and groundbreaking cholesterol therapies, to pollution, performance, mental health, and longevity. Episode 400 will reflect on the path so far and where we're headed next.
Keep an eye out!

🌎 Family Highlights
Ella has made a spontaneous decision to travel to Chile with her partner Talam. It’s a whirlwind trip—she’ll miss a little Uni, but it overlaps with semester break and promises to be a fantastic experience.
Max continues to thrive in Samoa—surfing, settling into Uni, and staying safe amidst a dengue outbreak (long sleeves, repellent, and full precautions in place!).
Sean is less vocal this week… after the Dees suffered one of the biggest 4th-quarter comebacks in AFL history at the hands of the Saints. On a brighter note, the Wallabies are showing signs of a long-overdue resurgence!
Dad (Chris) is doing well and has had meaningful improvements in strength through regular sessions at OsteoStrong—he says they’re a key part of him staying independent.
🧠 Around the Centre
Chelle and I are focused on rhythm and routine at OsteoStrong Hobart. We’re actively recruiting an admin role to take pressure off Chelle and free up more energy for growth.
Last weekend, we also tried 9D Breathwork with Jen from Pivotal Wellbeing. It was an incredible session—both relaxing and energising. Highly recommend trying it for yourself!
We are planning on Jen doing a Strong Talk for the centre in the not too distant future.
⚙️ New Things Brewing
-
The coffee machine is finally dialled in—smooth, rich, café-quality pours at home. Grateful for tips from the Jet Black Espresso team (& Chat GPT).
-
C15 Supplementation continues to generate interest—if you missed it, the story of Navy dolphins led scientists to discover this important fatty acid.
