Hi {contactfield=firstname},

From My Desk...

Each week, I’ll be sharing a little about what’s happening in my world—whether it’s in my role as a cardiologist, the work I’m doing with the Healthy Heart Network and our new Healthy Life Network, or even personal updates from my family and life. My goal is to give you a closer look at what’s been keeping me busy, while also sharing tips and insights to help you on your own heart health journey. I hope you enjoy these updates and find them helpful as you strive to live well and stay healthy.

This week has been a real blend of energy, connection, and momentum — both personally and professionally.

There’s a lot unfolding, and I’m excited to share it with you.

👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 Family & Personal Highlights

Max continues to thrive in Samoa — catching fish, enjoying regular surfs, spending time with his host family, and gradually sorting his uni course hiccups. He seems to be truly embracing the experience, which has been wonderful to witness from afar.

Ella and Sean came over for dinner midweek. Sean is considering joining us at OsteoStrong Hobart in an admin management role. We’ll see how the interviews unfold, but it would be great to have him on board if it’s the right fit.

In another first, Ella invited Chelle, James and me out for a beer to meet her boyfriend, Tallam. It was a lovely catch-up — he seems like a thoughtful, grounded young man. Always nice to put a face to the stories!

💼 Professional & Business Updates

It’s been a big week at OSH with James visiting again. Together, we’re continuing to deepen our work across all areas of the business — with a strong current focus on:

  • OsteoStrong operations and strengthening systems.

  • Setting up our IV drip therapy service, with the brilliant nurse Sarah taking the lead.

  • Ongoing momentum with Longevity Labs, and new tools like VO₂max testing and hot/cold exposure therapy.

And of course, Chelle has been the rock keeping all the pieces connected — supporting members, running logistics, and gently steering me back on track when needed!

📘 Cholesterol Explained – Final Polish Underway!

The book is so close. I’m still finding small tweaks and polish points, but it’s nearly there. The feedback from early readers and the insights I’ve gained from the WCCL have added so much to this final version. I truly can’t wait to share it with you.

🎙 Podcast Spotlight: Psoriasis – More Than Skin Deep

If you are interested, I have podcast with Dr Fiona Foo and dermatologist Anika Smith, coming up soon, I highly recommend it — we explored how psoriasis is far more than a skin condition. It’s an inflammatory process that can raise your risk for cardiovascular disease. Whether you live with psoriasis or not, the interview is eye-opening and worth your time.
