Hi {contactfield=firstname}

From My Desk...

Each week, I’ll be sharing a little about what’s happening in my world—whether it’s in my role as a cardiologist, the work I’m doing with the Healthy Heart Network, or even personal updates from my family and life. My goal is to give you a closer look at what’s been keeping me busy, while also sharing tips and insights to help you on your own heart health journey. I hope you enjoy these updates and find them helpful as you strive to live well and stay healthy.

Hope you are well and that the past week has been kind to you.

What an amazing time we live in—Donald Trump is having another crack at the top job in the United States.

Watching from afar, it's interesting to wonder how it will play out locally.

My days continue to be full.......

I've had the chance to go through some old photos as we prepare a slide deck for the upcoming 60th birthday and wedding celebration.

It’s been lovely revisiting those memories and being reminded of special times. I noticed quite a few photos of me in the snow, rock climbing, and also up in Darwin. It's the pics with special people in them that mean the most.

I've been humbled by a number of patients who have traveled all the way from the north of the state to see me.

When someone makes such an effort, it feels like a great responsibility, and I truly hope I can help them as best as possible.

I’ve been enjoying the tennis, and I guess, like many others, it's great to see Alex de Minaur doing well.

Although I don’t watch much sport, the Hobart Hurricanes have been doing a fantastic job, and it’s been exciting watching the Big Bash League.

We've been working hard to get the pulsed electromagnetic field (PEMF) therapy business up and running. We've mailed the local orthopedic surgeons and are exploring other ways to advertise.

Also, for those who have access to the Healthy Heart Network live presentations,I was discussing risk calculators last night and took a deep dive into magnesium Mg++ supplements. There are so many to choose from out there, what should you take and for what purpose..... well I guess the take home was Mg is good for us and our energy levels. The organic forms tend to be better used by the body than the inorganic forms and that you need to be careful with pyridoxine being mixed with the preparations as this has side effects of its own.

You may or may not have caught the last couple of weeks' podcasts where I spoke with Candice from Best Cellf Mats. If you're interested, here's the link to the podcasts : https://drwarrickbishop.com/podcast/episode/1/ep368-interview-with-candice-and-whats-pemf-again and https://drwarrickbishop.com/podcast/episode/1/ep369-more-on-pemf-with-candice Also, Candice was kind enough to create a discount code for any purchases—the code is DrWarrick if you’d like to take advantage of it.

I’ve also been working to put together material for Guy Leech’s Younger Longer Program. This is exciting. You may remember Guy from my podcasts; if you didn’t catch him, you can find it here : https://drwarrickbishop.com/podcast/episode/ep212-guy-leech-sportsman-to-lifesaver it is well worth a listen.

You might also know that Guy Leech was kind enough to write the foreword for my last book, 10 Commandments of Heart Health. If you’re interested in learning more about the book, you can check it out here https://drwarrickbishop.com/page/books .

Chelle has been busy organizing everything - particularly around the party— but also around moving out just days afterward.

We've had some hiccups with moving out of one house and into another. The lawyers from one side are trying to get us out of our current place sooner than anticipated, while the lawyers from the other property are trying to delay our move-in. The consequence is feeling somewhat squeezed, but I’m sure it will all be fine in the long run.

I'm looking forward to catching up with St Luke’s Health soon. I have created a Virtual Bone Check platform, similar to the Virtual Heart Check platform.

The Bone Check platform allows individuals to access a bone mineral density scan without needing to see a GP—just as the Virtual Heart Check allows people to access a coronary artery calcium score without needing a GP or specialist referral.

If you're interested in learning more about the Virtual Heart Check, you can follow this link https://virtualheartcheck.com.au .

I would suggest it is a right of passage for every male 45 and above and every woman 55 and above to make sure they know the true state of their heart health.

I’m currently down at the OsteoStrong center, where we recently hit an exciting milestone—200 members! We're gradually building momentum, and beyond our standard advertising efforts, we are seeing more people coming in through word-of-mouth and even referrals from their local doctors and allied health professionals.

That's it for this week, party time on the weekend, moving time the following week.......... I hope your days are full and fulfilling too.

Until next time, I wish you the very best and hope you live as well as possible for as long as possible.

Take care, bye for now.
