Hi {contactfield=firstname}

From My Desk...

Each week, I’ll be sharing a little about what’s happening in my world—whether it’s in my role as a cardiologist, the work I’m doing with the Healthy Heart Network, or even personal updates from my family and life. My goal is to give you a closer look at what’s been keeping me busy, while also sharing tips and insights to help you on your own heart health journey. I hope you enjoy these updates and find them helpful as you strive to live well and stay healthy.

Another week has flown by—it’s incredible how quickly the time goes!

Last week, amidst all the festive chaos, I made a classic blunder and wrote 2024 instead of 2025.

I received a few emails that I made a mistake! Once the email leaves your outbox, there's no turning back. However, your responses are invaluable and really contribute to improving my overall email deliverability. I appreciate your understanding!

You’d think I’d have my dates sorted after such a whirlwind of celebrations—Christmas, New Year, a recent wedding, settling into a new home and my 60th birthday!

Clearly, my mind was too busy looking back at the past year while the calendar pushed ahead.

Chelle and I have been busy, both personally and professionally, and we’re incredibly grateful for the support we’ve received along the way.

This past week, we were fortunate to have a member of the OsteoStrong franchise team from Melbourne visit us for a few days, which was fantastic. Their insights were invaluable, and it’s always great to connect with like-minded professionals.

On the business front, our pulsed electromagnetic field (PEMF) therapy mat hire business is officially underway. We’re excited to share that we’ve added a personal PEMF device called the VIBE to our offerings.

If you’re curious, you can check it out on the Resona Health website. If you’re considering purchasing one, let me know—we can often provide them at a lower price than online due to exchange rates and shipping discounts. The interest in PEMF therapy is growing, and it’s wonderful to see people starting to talk about it.

On the family side, the kids are doing great. Tonight, Chelle, Sean, Max, Ella, and I are heading out for dinner at the new Grill’d franchise down the road. They promise “healthy burgers,” though I’ll reserve judgment until after we’ve tried them! Regardless, it’ll be lovely to enjoy a meal together.

Today also marks a monumental milestone in my medical career.

After approximately 30 years of being on-call, I’ve officially stepped down from the hospital on-call roster.

This is a significant decision for me, and one I’ve made to prioritize my health and well-being. It’s time to pass the baton to the younger cardiologists, and while it’s bittersweet, I’m confident it’s the right choice for this stage of my life.

On the Healthy Heart Network front, I’ve been working full steam ahead on the cholesterol book. Penny, my co-writer, is meticulously editing based on feedback to ensure the language is clear and precise. The manuscript will soon go to Karam, his wife, and another colleague for a thorough review. With a bit more editing, we’re hopeful to have a finished product in the coming months.

I’m incredibly excited about this book—it’s intricate, engaging, and highly relevant at a time when so many are seeking answers about cholesterol and statins. Unfortunately, much of the information online only scratches the surface, and I’m determined to provide a comprehensive, balanced resource for those navigating these important topics.

I hope you’ve all had a wonderful week.

As always, I genuinely wish you the very best and encourage you to live as well as possible, for as long as possible.

Take care and bye for now,

I may have forgotten the last quiz questions, sorry:
