Hi {contactfield=firstname}

From My Desk...

Each week, I’ll be sharing a little about what’s happening in my world—whether it’s in my role as a cardiologist, the work I’m doing with the Healthy Heart Network, or even personal updates from my family and life. My goal is to give you a closer look at what’s been keeping me busy, while also sharing tips and insights to help you on your own heart health journey. I hope you enjoy these updates and find them helpful as you strive to live well and stay healthy.

Happy New Year!

As we welcome 2024, I find myself reflecting on the past year—a year of personal and professional growth, meaningful connections, and exciting milestones..... and getting excited about the yera ahead.

On a personal note, 2023 was transformative. Celebrating my 60th birthday and marrying Chelle were standout moments, as was agreeing on a new home in Sandy Bay just one day after our wedding. We’ll settle in February 2025, but it already feels like a wonderful new chapter ahead.

Our family has thrived in so many ways. Chelle’s son, Sean, has been able to put some of life’s challenges and frustrations behind him and is now looking ahead with optimism. Max is pursuing opportunities abroad with his partner, while Ella, after returning from Europe, is charting her own course and creating special memories like the Point to Pub walk we did together, (she ran).

Professionally, it’s been a year of discovery and impact. The St. Luke’s Health pilot program for calcium scoring has yielded incredible insights, with early detection proving invaluable in reducing cardiovascular risks. I’ve also had the pleasure of sharing fascinating discussions on my podcast, from PEMF therapy with Candice Groves to the interplay between cholesterol medications and fat-soluble vitamins like K2.

Looking forward, 2024 is shaping up to be just as exciting. Chelle and I will kick off the mid year in Vienna, attending the World Congress of Clinical Lipidology. In a few months later, I’ll be presenting at a conference on the Amazon, and in December, we’ll head to Florida for Tony Robbins’ Date with Destiny event. There’s so much to look forward to, both personally and professionally.

We’re also refreshing the Healthy Heart Network, with new member offers and resources designed to help you take charge of your health journey. Stay tuned for updates—details can be found [here].

This year, I encourage you to reflect on what truly makes life meaningful for you. Is it prioritizing time with loved ones, exploring passions, or finding balance? Whatever your focus, I hope you’ll embrace it fully in 2024.

Thank you for being part of this journey. Your engagement, curiosity, and support inspire me to continue exploring ways to help you live as well as possible for as long as possible.

Here’s to a new year of health, happiness, and meaningful moments.

Take care, and all the best for 2024,
