Hi {contactfield=firstname},
From My Dr Warrick's Desk...
Each week, I’ll be sharing a little about what’s happening in my world—whether it’s in my role as a cardiologist, the work I’m doing with the Healthy Heart Network, or even personal updates from my family and life. My goal is to give you a closer look at what’s been keeping me busy, while also sharing tips and insights to help you on your own heart health journey. I hope you enjoy these updates and find them helpful as you strive to live well and stay healthy.
Is that another week gone already? Time really does seem to be flying by.
We've been enjoying some beautiful weather here in Hobart. Chelle and I took advantage of it on Saturday by heading down to Salamanca, where we experienced "dunch" for the first time—a cross between dinner and lunch. We soaked up the lovely afternoon sun while we ate.
On Sunday, we went to see the new "Joker" movie. I found it artistic and intriguing, but Chelle wasn't particularly impressed.
My son has wrapped up his bodybuilding competition and is now off to Victoria to visit his uncle and help out with some duties on a working farm.
Meanwhile, my daughter is in Malta and seems to be having a fantastic time. Her 19th birthday is just days away, and she'll be celebrating it abroad. We’re also planning to do the Point to Pub walk together in November as a fundraiser, which I’m looking forward to.
The contract on the beach house seems to be progressing well, at least according to the real estate agent.
Chelle and I are still actively looking at potential places for our next home.
I was excited to be contacted by Guy Leech this week. He's launching a "Live Younger, Longer" program next year and has invited me to potentially get involved. I'm looking forward to meeting with him later this week to discuss it further.
For those interested, I recently released a podcast on cholesterol-lowering therapies and their potential—or at least theoretical—impact on vitamin K2 levels. You can have a listen here: https://drwarrickbishop.com/podcast/episode/1/ep355-vitamin-k-and-lipid-lowering-therapy
Until next time, have a great week and live as well as possible for as long as possible.
Warm regards,
