Hello and welcome to Week #101 of the Healthy Life Network.
We just marked one hundred editions last week, so in some ways this one feels like the start of a fresh chapter. It was a full week, in business and at home, and a good reminder that steady effort and staying genuinely open to connection and opportunity tend to pay off in the end.
Let's get into it.
Family & Personal Highlights
Chelle and I had one of those simple afternoons yesterday, a break from the rush of work. Cheese platter, a glass of wine, rain coming down outside. Nothing more to it than that, and nothing more needed….nice.
Father's Day brought some lovely family moments. Max is settling into life in Timor-Leste with his partner Katie, and continues with free diving and spearfishing with real enthusiasm. He landed a wahoo nearly a metre and a half long, and has a Dogfish Tuna firmly in his sights next.
Ella is deep into her adventure through the Kimberley. There have been a few mechanical hiccups along the way, but she and Tallam are meeting them with good humour, and there is real personal growth to show for it.
Sean and his mate Jolly settled in to watch the Saturday footy together. The game not featuring the Dees, but a good connection.
Friday night was a treat of a different kind. My old friend David Farmer indulged me in a proper shaving masterclass, safety razors, bristle brushes, soaps, and a full range of prep and aftershave care, all put together beautifully as a gift for my birthday and Christmas this year. We finished with dinner. A genuinely lovely night.
Professional & Business Updates
OsteoStrong Hobart
Lead generation is clearly back on track. Saturdays discovery session converted straight into a new membership this week, and 225 members is now a realistic target for the month, with steady growth of five to ten new members each month our aim beyond that. We are also gearing up to launch Bone Buddies soon, an affordable, shared time way for members to train together…. and we are even looking at a “Power of Hour” concept…… in early stages, watch this space.
Longevity Lab
The HOCATT unit is very close to being fully operational, adding another layer to our recovery and performance offerings alongside breathwork and IV therapy.
There are also some genuinely exciting conversations continuing around remote and cardiac monitoring technology, alongside growing interest from cardiology colleagues in how strength training can support patients managing chronic conditions like POTS syndrome and chronic fatigue. A promising sign of how the OsteoStrong model can extend into more clinical care, built on referrals from other specialists.
There's also some exciting movement on the book front. Conversations with Novartis are progressing well, with a possible pathway opening up to get the books into more hands through a partnership tied to Hearts For Heart (H4H) — a genuinely meaningful opportunity to extend the reach of the message beyond the clinic and into the community at scale.
Podcast/YouTube Highlight
This week's episode is a lovely one. EP454: Katrina Valente, Feminine Energy and Youthfulness. This is a really important one for trying to understand how things have been changing in our world, and perhaps not all for the good.

Quiz Corner
Last week's answer: HOCATT stacks several modalities into a single session. Ozone and oxygen therapy for immune support and oxygenation. Hyperthermia, dry heat that lifts core temperature and supports circulation. Carbonic acid, or CO2, absorbed through the skin to help blood vessels open up and release more oxygen to the tissues. Photon light therapy in the red and near infrared range to support cellular energy production. And PEMF, to support cellular communication and recovery. Individually useful. Together, more than the sum of their parts.
This week's question: When are women at the greatest risk of breast cancer, and what remains the best screening tool available. There has been some fake news doing the rounds on social media this week suggesting Scandinavian countries have stopped using mammography altogether. Worth knowing the real picture before you believe everything in your feed. I will share the answer next week.
Final Reflection
Whether in business or in life, the pattern this week was the same. Steady effort. Staying genuinely open to connection and opportunity. None of it flashy. All of it adding up.
That, and knowing when to rest, when to laugh with an old friend, and when to simply enjoy the rain on the roof with a good glass of wine.
Warm regards, Dr Warrick
