Hi {contactfield=firstname},

From My Desk...

Each week, I’ll be sharing a little about what’s happening in my world—whether it’s in my role as a cardiologist, the work I’m doing with the Healthy Heart Network and our new Healthy Life Network, or even personal updates from my family and life. My goal is to give you a closer look at what’s been keeping me busy, while also sharing tips and insights to help you on your own heart health journey. I hope you enjoy these updates and find them helpful as you strive to live well and stay healthy.

Hello & Welcome!

As we approach year’s end, there’s been a swirl of activity — from publishing milestones to new client growth, and a few unexpected personal challenges along the way.

🦴 Stronger Bones, Growing Community

OsteoStrong Hobart continues to thrive. Member engagement is strong, and our new team members Paul and Sarah have slotted in beautifully.

I had the pleasure of speaking at the Australian Chiropractors Association (Hobart chapter) this week — sharing insights on osteogenic loading, one-rep-max muscle stimulus, and mechano-transduction. It was a great exchange with engaged, open-minded practitioners.

We’ve also reconnected with Cancer Council Tasmania and Parkinson’s Tasmania to explore how OsteoStrong could support individuals facing health challenges with muscle and bone strength needs.

💧 IV Therapy Building Strongly

Momentum is building at the Longevity Lab IV Therapy service. Sarah and Sean have been doing an incredible job supporting clients trying IV therapy for the first time — and the feedback has been inspiring.

We celebrated a combined Christmas party for OSH and LLIV — a warm evening full of great people and gratitude for a strong year together.

📕 Cholesterol Explained Is Now Final

I’ve just finished my final read of Cholesterol Explained. It's now with Penny, then onto John North. The finish line is in sight — and it’s incredibly satisfying to see this project nearing release. If you’d like a first edition copy when available, let us know and we’ll add you to the list.

👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 Family & Life Updates

  • Chelle took a tumble from a ladder Thursday and we learned Friday night that she’s ruptured her right ACL. We’ll speak with the orthopaedic surgeon Monday about next steps. Yes — this comes just as we’re due to head off to the US, Costa Rica & Panama later this week... we’ll adapt as needed.
  • Max has been finishing exams in Samoa and helping locals with health concerns.
  • Ella is looking at a new car and even land with Tallam.
  • Baxter, my brother Ashton’s son, won the Australian 800m title (U12) — amazing result and we’re very proud!
