Hi {contactfield=firstname},

From My Desk...

Each week, I’ll be sharing a little about what’s happening in my world—whether it’s in my role as a cardiologist, the work I’m doing with the Healthy Heart Network and our new Healthy Life Network, or even personal updates from my family and life. My goal is to give you a closer look at what’s been keeping me busy, while also sharing tips and insights to help you on your own heart health journey. I hope you enjoy these updates and find them helpful as you strive to live well and stay healthy.

Hello & Welcome

It’s been another full and rewarding week — family milestones, professional highlights, and a big celebration for our 400th podcast episode!

Family & Personal Highlights

  • Max continues to thrive in Samoa, with free diving, spearfishing, shark encounters, and occassionally some Uni work.

  • Ella is exploring the Atacama Desert in Chile with Tallam — soaking up the culture and landscapes.

  • Sean has stepped up to take on a coaching and managerial role at OsteoStrong Hobart — exciting times ahead for him and for us as a family!

  • James, Moonmoon, and Taashi have arrived in Tasmania for a four-week stay. James has already completed immersive training at the Melbourne Master Franchise Centre, setting us up for the next steps in Hobart.

  • Chelle has been an absolute rock through ongoing disruptions at the centre, keeping everything on track.

  • My Dad continues to adapt well to his Parkinson’s infusion pump, while Charles’s Dad joined us for dinner this week — perfect steak, salad, red wine, and a dash of port.

Professional & Business Updates

  • OsteoStrong Hobart continues to operate smoothly despite the boarded-up entry awaiting repairs.

  • We’ve recruited a new administrator/receptionist who will start soon, adding much-needed support.

  • We’re exploring new offerings upstairs — sauna, plunge baths, hypertrophy zone with variable resistance technology, and vibration plates — watch this space for more wellness innovations!

  • I spoke on ABC Northern Tasmania with Kim Napier about differentiating reflux, chest pain, and cardiac pain — with the key takeaway: if you’re not 100% sure it’s not your reflux, get checked.

  • Presented for the Healthy Life Network on highlights from the CSANZ annual scientific meeting in Brisbane — so much exciting progress to share.

  • The Cholesterol Explained book is now with Karam for final edits — getting very close to completion!
