Hi {contactfield=firstname},
From My Desk...
Each week, I’ll be sharing a little about what’s happening in my world—whether it’s in my role as a cardiologist, the work I’m doing with the Healthy Heart Network and our new Healthy Life Network, or even personal updates from my family and life. My goal is to give you a closer look at what’s been keeping me busy, while also sharing tips and insights to help you on your own heart health journey. I hope you enjoy these updates and find them helpful as you strive to live well and stay healthy.
Hello & welcome to Week #40............. wow, how the weeks fly by........
As I write this, Chelle and I are sitting lakeside in Gmunden, Austria, sipping beautiful European coffee and reflecting on what has been an incredible trip.
Family & Personal Highlights
We’ve spent the last week together exploring after the conference wrapped up. From Graz, where we stayed and visited local wineries with Karam and his father Gerhart (including a wonderful backyard BBQ on a warm summer evening), to Bad Aussee, Mondsee, Salzburg (yes, we went up to the fortress and sampled beer at Spiegl brewery!), and now making our way back to Vienna to fly home. I can't believe the beauty of this regon and the hills/mountains Drachenwand (Dragon Wall), Schafberg (Sheep Mountain) and Höllengebirge (Mountains of Hell) which are genuinely spectacular... I know in my younger day with my mate Dave, we would have looked at those peaks with plans to climb them.......these days, I'm not quite so bold.... or fit - truth be told.
Max has achieved his open water diving ticket and is advancing plans to head to Samoa later this year to complete his university degree as part of the New Colombo Plan scholarship he secured. Ella is finishing her term break and heading back into her busy routine, while Sean is travelling along well with work and life.

📖 Book Progress
Work continues on Cholesterol Explained. It feels like the closer we get to the end, the more we realise there’s still more to refine, but it will be worth it.
💡 Upcoming Initiatives
I've been planning a heart health course with St Luke’s Health to share results from our CAC pilot program, aiming to empower more people to understand and take charge of their true risk.....if you are with SLH let me know and watch this space..... I'm thinking of calling the course "Don't die on the way to the supplement store".......... I'd love some feedback on the title - either way
