Hi {contactfield=firstname},

From My Desk...

Each week, I’ll be sharing a little about what’s happening in my world—whether it’s in my role as a cardiologist, the work I’m doing with the Healthy Heart Network and our new Healthy Life Network, or even personal updates from my family and life. My goal is to give you a closer look at what’s been keeping me busy, while also sharing tips and insights to help you on your own heart health journey. I hope you enjoy these updates and find them helpful as you strive to live well and stay healthy.

What a fantastic week it’s been — filled with memorable moments, big steps forward, and a touch of adventure (and cold water!).

💝 Mother’s Day & Meaningful Moments

We celebrated a beautiful Mother’s Day with Chelle — a lovely pendant thoughtfully gifted by Ella, Sean, and Max, some well-earned pampering, and time together as a family. Simple moments, but deeply meaningful.

Thursday night was also special — Chelle and I shared dinner with Dad in honour of Mum’s birthday. A time to pause, reflect, and feel the lasting presence of an extraordinary woman in our lives.

🔥 Sauna, Friendship & a Splash of Cold

The highlight? A rejuvenating trip aboard the KUUMA sauna boat in Margate — a floating sauna with a twist: straight from the heat into the icy 13°C waters of the Derwent River. A family gift for Chelle and me, and an experience we’re already planning to repeat!

We also enjoyed a great evening with Madeleine and Malcolm — early members at OsteoStrong Hobart and long-time friends. It’s always a joy reconnecting with people who’ve helped build the foundations of our community.

🦴 Expanding the Team at OsteoStrong

We’re thrilled to share that Chelle and I are teaming up with two of our most valued friends — James and Moonmoon — to grow the OsteoStrong business in Hobart. Their energy, care, and alignment with our vision make this an exciting new chapter for our centre.

🧊 Cellar Starts & Home Progress

The final pieces of my office have arrived, and with Chelle’s help, the chaos has been tamed (mostly!). The last hurdle? Nearly a dozen boxes of wine waiting to move downstairs... because we’re building a small wine cellar, and construction kicks off tomorrow! Slowly but surely, the new house is becoming a home.

🌊 Paddle Reflections & Coaching Insights

Midweek, I got out for a paddle with my friend Dr. John Saul — crisp evening air, calm waters, and the quiet reminder to appreciate the simple moments (while also not falling in!). I also caught up with my Tony Robbins coach, Adam, who introduced me to the Five Love Languages — a powerful lens for understanding and deepening my relationship with Chelle.

📚 Cholesterol Explained – Nearing the Finish Line

We are so so close to wrapping up the final edits of Cholesterol Explained. We're on the hunt for a truly credible figure to write the foreword — someone with gravitas in the field to match the importance of the message.

🧲 PEMF Therapy & Younger Longer

The PEMF therapy business for post-joint surgery support is taking shape. Watch this space as we build an evidence-backed service aimed at recovery, healing, and inflammation support. Meanwhile, I'm looking forward to catching up with Guy Leech to see how the Younger Longer platform is progressing.
