Hi {contactfield=firstname}

From My Desk...

Each week, I’ll be sharing a little about what’s happening in my world—whether it’s in my role as a cardiologist, the work I’m doing with the Healthy Heart Network, or even personal updates from my family and life. My goal is to give you a closer look at what’s been keeping me busy, while also sharing tips and insights to help you on your own heart health journey. I hope you enjoy these updates and find them helpful as you strive to live well and stay healthy.

Hello & Welcome!

I hope this message finds you well! As always, there’s lots happening both professionally and personally, and I’m excited to share the latest with you.

Weekend in Melbourne – Connecting with the Master Franchisor
Chelle and I spent the weekend in Melbourne catching up with Perry, the Master Franchisor of our OsteoStrong business. It was a productive and energising time, full of big-picture thinking and strategic discussions. We’re more inspired than ever to keep building OsteoStrong Hobart and expanding our Healthy Heart/Life Network offering for our members. As part of the trip I spoke on Heart Health at the South Melbuorne Osteostong.

Coffee Machine Victory
Small win, but worth celebrating—I’ve finally got the settings right on my coffee machine! The perfect cup makes all the difference when the days are full.

Virtual Bone Check – Live & Ready
The Virtual Bone Check is now live and ready to go! It’s based on the same framework as our Virtual Heart Check and offers an accessible way for people to understand and take action on their bone health. You can check it out here: Virtual Bone Check . I'd value any feedback with people having a go and letting us know how they went.

Hobart Presentation – Auras, Mindset, Gut Health & More
I delivered a live video presentation recently covering a range of topics—from visual auras and mindset, to the gut microbiome and thyroid health. It was a great opportunity to engage and empower people with actionable information on how to take charge of their wellbeing.....it is part of the Healthy Heart/Life Network offering and I believe a great resource.

Upcoming Podcast: Barrie Elvish – CEO of AUSactive
This week, I’m joined on the podcast by Barrie Elvish, CEO of AUSactive—the peak health and fitness industry association in Australia. Barrie brings a wealth of experience in education, sport, and public policy, and we’ll be exploring how physical activity, community engagement, and leadership can all drive better health outcomes for Australians. Stay tuned—this is one not to miss!

Rotary Presentations – Heart & Bone Health
I’ll be speaking at Salamanca Rotary over the next two Tuesdays—first on heart health and then on bone health. It’s always a pleasure to connect with local community leaders and share insights that can help them live stronger, healthier lives.

Family Update
Max continues to thrive in Tonga—fishing, exploring, studying, and building friendships. Ella is doing well and finding a strong rhythm with uni and work. Chelle is still putting the final touches on our new home. The lounge rug has arrived, and now we’re just waiting on the couch to complete the setup!

This Week’s Question
Which of the following plays the most critical role in bone mineralisation?

A) Vitamin E
B) Vitamin K2
C) Vitamin A
D) Vitamin B12
(Answer revealed next week!)
