Hi {contactfield=firstname}

From My Desk...

Each week, I’ll be sharing a little about what’s happening in my world—whether it’s in my role as a cardiologist, the work I’m doing with the Healthy Heart Network, or even personal updates from my family and life. My goal is to give you a closer look at what’s been keeping me busy, while also sharing tips and insights to help you on your own heart health journey. I hope you enjoy these updates and find them helpful as you strive to live well and stay healthy.

Hello & Welcome!

What a week it’s been! Between writing marathons, family milestones, new discoveries, and the occasional adventurous meal, there’s a lot to share—so let’s get into it.

📘 Cholesterol Book – Almost There!
After several long days side-by-side with my co-writer Penny, we’re so close to finalising the edits for Cholesterol Explained. The book has grown into something I’m genuinely proud of, and I believe it will be a valuable resource for anyone wanting to cut through the confusion surrounding lipids and heart health.

🌊 Max's Journey – Tonga to Samoa
Max is on the move! He’s wrapping up his time in Tonga and is looking to shift next to Samoa. It's been incredible to see his independence and adventurous spirit flourish, and we’re excited for what’s next.

🎓 Ella – Kicking Goals Despite Setbacks
Ella has been going really well at uni, getting strong results in her assessments and finding her groove. Unfortunately, she’s been unwell this past week, but is pushing through. We’re very proud of her.

💧 Melbourne Insights – Nano Water & Health?
I spent a day in Melbourne diving into the science of nanoparticle water and its potential health benefits. It's a fascinating space—still early days, but definitely worth keeping an eye on. Watch this space!

📚 AF Book Bundle – Still Available

Just a reminder—Hearts4Heart is still looking for patients interested in becoming health advocates. With support from Humanise Health, they’ve created a first-of-its-kind Patient Advocacy Training Academy. It’s free to participate, and a fantastic way to influence health care from the inside. Let me know if you’d like to be connected.

🧠 Exciting Opportunity to share – Parkinson’s & OsteoStrong
This week I’ll be meeting with Prof. Callisaya, a leading researcher in Parkinson’s disease, at our OsteoStrong centre. We’re discussing ways OsteoStrong’s modalities may benefit people living with Parkinson’s—particularly around stability and fall prevention. Stay tuned!

👩‍🍳 Chelle in the Kitchen
Now that we have a kitchen is finally functional, the last place was tiny, Chelle has been diving into new culinary adventures. Most recently: camel meatballs! It’s been great to see her finding time to try new things amidst the constant buzz of running our centre.
